“What an awesome float trip on the Juniata with Brad Ritter of Drifted Hook Guide Service. We floated the river on his very comfortable Hyde drift boat and Brad positioned the boat masterfully to cast to prime bass spots.
Brad is extremely friendly and knowledgeable. He generously offered suggestions for techniques and alternate fly patterns as I was seeking a color combination to trigger more bites.
We leisurely floated downstream but on one particular area where we had several good bites, he rowed back upstream to re-fish that area a 2nd time. We enjoyed a nice lunch and fished the last section. Overall we caught lots of bass of various sizes on both topwater and subsurface. The bass fought hard like smallmouth do.
It was an awesome fishing trip and one that I'll remember fondly for a long time.
